In that space is our power to choose our response.
In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

Purejoy Parenting Course
The ADHD Solution Deck was developed by Dr. Sharon Saline, PsyD, a clinical psychologist and author of the award-winning book, “What Your ADHD Child Wishes You Knew: Working Together to Empower Kids for Success in School and Life”. I used both resources in developing these collaborative activities for families to work through together in order to process an ADHD diagnosis and find solutions to common challenges that ADHD presents within families. It is my hope that collaboratively guiding parents through the ADHD Solution Deck and the accompanying activities designed for children ages 8-18 will help you and your family find the solutions and strategies you’ve been seeking.

"You’ve tried all the theories, heard from the experts and read all the books but, no matter how much you work at being a conscious parent, you feel like you’re failing.
Slow down.
There’s another way. You can move from the constant struggle of trying to control your child’s behavior, to a more connected, loving relationship and a calmer home.
Parenting Paused is an 8-week parenting course that will get you where you want to be. You’ll learn to release control and create an emotionally safe home where everyone will feel seen, heard, cared for, and connected — including YOU.
In this course you’ll discover and learn how to apply the foundations of Purejoy Parenting, including the transformational SacredSeat and SafeSeat practices."

Love Languages were created by Dr. Gary Chapman to discuss how we all give and receive love in our relationships based on five core love languages:
Learning to speak each other's love language(s) has been deeply beneficial to couples, friends, and entire families all over the world. During our 6 sessions together, we will discover the love language of each member of the couple or family and discuss all five love languages in depth so that you can speak each other’s love languages more mindfully, and cultivate loving relationships.
1) Quality Time
2) Words of Affirmation
3) Acts of Service
4) Receiving Gifts
5) Physical Touch
Conflict in relationships is normal. Conflict can lead to increasing distance between people, or to increased closeness if we learn to manage our conflicts and view them as opportunities for increased understanding and connection. During our 6 sessions together, we will discuss recurring issues within your relationship(s) and how to turn conflict into connection.
"This might surprise you, but the key to a happy partnership isn’t to eliminate conflict. All couples [and loved ones] argue. Couples [and loved ones] who are happy together repair their interactions when they make errors or say hurtful things. They de-escalate and move gently toward compromise or a respectful, safe space to honor each other’s differences."

The general idea of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected. This interconnected cycle usually starts with our thoughts, which then impact our feelings, which then impact our behaviors. Often our behaviors reinforce our thoughts. Each of us can choose to make this a positive cycle, or we can choose to allow it to be a negative cycle. This is a universal human challenge because our brains are programmed to keep us safe from harm which often causes our brains to default to negative. Negative thoughts often trigger negative emotions and behaviors. When we pause to process our thoughts, we may notice some patterns in the way we think. Noticing these patterns can help us change the way that we react to certain situations. These Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Courses will support you in doing just that.

Diversity, Inclusivity, & Intersectionality
In our wonderfully diverse world, intersectionality (the interconnected nature of social categories such as race, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc.) is an essential consideration during counseling sessions. I deeply value diversity, inclusivity, and social justice. I vow to create an open, honest, just, inclusive environment during all of my counseling sessions and to continue educating myself in these areas. LGBTQIA individuals and BIPOC individuals are SAFE and CELEBRATED here.
